How I ended up enjoying vacations in Paradise...Hi! My name is Barry. I grew up in Puerto Rico and made the move to the US when I was in high school.
Many people envy my lifestyle. Friends and strangers alike tell me they'd love to travel more, that they dream about visiting tropical islands, but lack of money, the time, or both keep them from doing it. After high school I went on to graduate from Virginia Tech University. I thought I would be happy doing as most do, "getting a good education and working for a big corporation with job security and benefits". I decided to take one year off after graduating, before hunting for a career job. I wanted some time to relax and go surfing, which is what I enjoying doing the most! I took a casual job with a restaurant corporation, that opened some new locations in the US Virgin Islands. I was invited to go and assist with training the restaurant staffers. I was excited to have a chance to go to some tropical islands and surf! What I thought would be a 6 month adventure, turned into 3 years. I had a chance to travel extensively throughout the Caribbean, and fell in love with the adventures. The experience of traveling and meeting people from different cultures from around the world would change my life. The mere thought of giving up the travel lifestyle to return home to a 9 to 5 was scary and depressing! I returned to the states knowing I couldn't go on with a casual restaurant job forever. The job hunting prospects when I came back was a heavy dose of reality. The idea of the government job I thought I would pursue was no longer appealing. I knew I wanted to be able to travel, and started looking into travel related industries. I eventually landed a job with a major US Carrier that allowed for some travel benefits. It was a step in the right direction, but I quickly learned it was still an 8 hour a day job, pay wasn't really great and the time freedom to travel was limited! Another problem was the expense of travel. It cost money for places to stay, meals and transportation when you travel. So, my traveling was restricted by my lack of time freedom and lack of disposable income. The solution......is so simple, I wonder why it took me so many years to find it: Make money doing what you love...playing on your computer! You can. I'll show you how I'm doing it.
