Driftwood: Let The Ocean Guide You
At Driftwood, all your daydreams about staying in a seaside
villa come true, from the beautiful curtained four-poster bed next to the
oceanfront window, to the soft white sand that stretches from the back patio
down to the gently-curling blue-green waves of the Caribbean. It's a private
house, but it's associated with a nearby resort, so you'll have access to full
resort amenities as well as your villa including concierge service, equipment
rentals, beach-side massage, and a yoga/pilates center. Driftwood is located near Well Bay, on the Beef Island side
of Tortola. It's one of the few villas you'll find on the east side of the
island. What Driftwood Is Like This villa has room for up to five guests, and children
over 8 are welcome. Smokers are asked to step outside. You'll find air
conditioning in both bedrooms, though you may not need to use it if you keep the
French doors open. Satellite television and free wi-fi for laptops are provided,
and televisions and minifridges are in each bedroom. In addition to the
fully-equipped kitchen, a Weber grill is provided outside. For those very
romantic evenings, lights are equipped with dimmers. What Makes Driftwood Special Every window in this special villa have good ocean views.
The deck is beachfront, and you can open the French doors for indoor-outdoor
living access. The whole villa is designed to be open, all living spaces
blending together from the kitchen to the breakfast bar to the living room to
the patio. The master bedroom at Driftwood is paradise. The beautiful
four-poster bed is the focal point of the room, but the best part is the private
patio with hammock and seating, with French doors that open the whole room up to
the outside – remember, with that beautiful ocean view. Furnishings are classic and classy, with great attention to
how everything blends together under the living room's cathedral ceiling. This villa is exceptionally convenient to the eastern end
of Tortola; Well Bay and Long Bay are both within easy walking distance, and
Trellis Bay is only a little further; all have very nice public beaches as well
as restaurants and shops. Driftwood has 3-day-a-week maid service, a rare
amenity. Driftwood is one of the few villas on Tortola with no pool.
But as you're right next to the ocean, this does not take on the importance it
might otherwise. Rentals during the Christmas season are a 10-day minimum. Nearby Attractions Only a few minutes walk away, you'll find the perfect Well Bay beach, and a very short drive or medium walk gets you to Trellis Bay, where you can take a ferry to Virgin Gorda island and Marina Cay. This puts restaurants, shops, and other necessary amenities within easy walking distance, and then there's the beach of course. Driftwood keeps you close to civilization while still providing you with all the privacy you crave for that perfect island vacation.
