Inside the Canefield House

Inside you have tiled floors, delightful art, wicker furniture, and gorgeous ceilings. You also have the perfect view no matter where you are in the house. The gardens are quite delightful with several of the local island plants and tropical delights offered around the house. You are able to see the gardens from any of the three pavilions that complete the Canefield House. It is a tiered structure on the hill offering views of Brewers Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The entire house is air conditioned to make your stay more comfortable. There is a choice of outdoor spaces as well as indoor areas depending on your mood.

The staircase from the parking leads to the garden area into the two storied main pavilion. There is a gourmet kitchen, powder room, formal dining, area, and an alfresco dining area on the patio. The main level overlooks the second lower level Great Room. You have satellite, music, books, a wet bar, and plenty of comfortable furniture to enjoy while you are in this room. From this room you are able to hear the fountain tropical birds, and be cooled by the trade winds.

From the great room you can find the pool which gets you closer to the aforementioned wonders. You will be able to see the allamanda wreathing the terrace as well as the stone benches bordering the ocean below.

From the pool is a curved staircase. This leads down to a stone tiled sun deck for your enjoyment. There are plants such as bougainvillea, allamanda, heliconia, and hoya in the gazebo and patio area below. There is also a tall mango tree to offer you some shade. The master bedroom offers a sitting area, office, large walk in closet, and bath. There is also a dressing area in this room. From the main bedroom you can reach the terrace with a hammock that overlooks the hills below of the island.

The other bedrooms are equally comfortable with either two twins or a king. There is also a daybed for small children if you wish. The entire home is made with native stone offering a wonderful style. The rental of Canefield is 700 to 1200 dollars a night depending on the season as well as how many rooms you wish to rent. You don’t have to rent on three, unless you need them or wish from absolute privacy. It is important to book Canefield in advance for your romantic stay.
