The Village Cay Restaurant

The Village Cay Hotel and Marina comprises of a 21 room hotel and 106 berth marina complex in the heart of Road Town.  The complex, on the inner harbor overlooking Sir Francis Drake Channel, is the most centrally located full-service lodging facility on Tortola.  Many of the charter and bare boats which have their base here offer day sails to Virgin Gorda and its famous Baths, the Caves on Norman Island and also longer voyages around the BVI.  The marina caters for vessels up to 190 feet long and, with 24 hour security in addition to its other facilities; it provides an ideal place to either stop by for a night or so on a charter or even to base your yacht for the winter.

At the very center of the Village Cay Marina is the complex’s own dockside restaurant, and the food here completely befits the surroundings in which it is served.  Here, you can enjoy delicious food, surrounded by magnificent yachts and mingle with the local business crowd, charter boat crews and marina guests and bare boaters from all around the globe – there’s always an interesting conversation to join in.

The open-air restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day with buffet lunches on occasional days, sushi every Friday and a highly regarded and tempting Sunday brunch.

Everything at the Village Cay Restaurant is freshly prepared to the highest possible standards – designed to appeal to the taste buds and the eyes.  Every evening the chefs prepare locally caught lobster, along with fresh conch, tuna, snapper and Wahoo and huge New York steaks flame-grilled to order.  Add to these the mouthwatering prospect of savory mango, avocado and coconut and delicious home-made curries, rotis, quiches and soups: this is high quality food in a high quality environment.

There’s a well attended Happy Hour, where you can enjoy an enticing Caribbean cocktail and a good selection of beers – this is one of the island’s best stocked bars.

The Village Cay Hotel and Marina is one of a prestigious group of marinas established by Island Global Yachting and it aims to provide world-class services and a wide variety of amenities and unlimited recreation opportunities right on the dockside.

So, when you’re in Road Town, The Village Cay Marina is a great place to wander around and enjoy the international atmosphere engendered by the different boats docked here.  Come down for a stroll, and then let yourself get sidetracked into the ultimate dining experience in the dockside restaurant, and have a truly delectable meal.
